Leeann Heininger

Owner Leeann Heininger fulfilled a life-long dream when she opened her first home furnishings and interior design studio in Oak Park-River Forest, Il in 2002. Today, Fringe is located in the historic Arcade Building on South Blvd. in beautiful downtown Oak Park. With more than 30 years of design experience, Leeann has worked successfully with a broad range of clients in the Oak Park, River Forest, Chicago and the western suburbs, along with the surrounding states.

Leeann started her career at the Northern Trust Company, where she worked for 17 years. During her tenure she oversaw the overall design of their corporate office and executive suites. In addition, she was responsible for the project management and development of their new banking facilities in Chicago, Florida and California and served as curator for Northern’s multi-million dollar art collection.

Leeann is a graduate of Purdue University’s design school, with an emphasis on building design and construction. An Oak Park resident, Leeann is the mother of three busy children. She is an member of the Infant Welfare Society of Oak Park/River Forest and has designed several distinguished rooms for their annual Designer Showcase Houses.

She has worked in many of the area’s architecturally significant homes, including those designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, George Maher and E. E. Roberts.

Renee Lukas brings fifteen years of design and home furnishings experience to her clients at Fringe Home Design. Most recently Renee worked at Divine Consign as the Director of Design Services. Prior to that, she worked with Baker Knapp & Tubbs in the Chicago Merchandise Mart assisting interior designers and their clients with fine furniture selections. She has also worked as a senior designer at Walter E. Smithe in Chicago, successfully meeting her client’s expectations with exceptional design solutions.

Before entering the interior design profession, Renee worked for a large telecommunications corporation in many different capacities, including customer technical support and project management. Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business from Concordia University in River Forest and earned an associate’s degree from Triton College with a focus on interior design.

Renee continues to bring a refreshing blend of enthusiasm and creative energy to her design projects, always tailoring the finished room to her client’s needs and lifestyle, while providing a harmonious, unique and functional design. Her other interests include photography, travel, penning lyrics for her husband’s rock band and hanging out with her two rescue pups, Shiloh and Tulsi.
